Market wheel: the rules

Approved by the promoter on 20 October 2026.

1. The promoter

BosJapie (Pty) Ltd, trading as Bos-Japie, 710 Lobelia Street, Moreleta Park, Pretoria, 0044. Email info@bos-japie.co.za, phone 063 147 8128.

2. The prize

One Bos-Japie T-shirt of the winner's choice, for each winning spin.

3. How to take part

Open to people aged 18 and older. Scan the wheel's QR code at the Bos-Japie market stall and spin once on your own phone. No purchase is needed. One spin per phone per market day. If you win, show Damon your winning screen and that you follow the Bos-Japie Facebook Page before collecting your shirt.

A winning code lasts about 10 minutes and is checked at the stall.

4. How the result is decided

The wheel has 20 slices of equal size. One carries the Bos-Japie buffalo and wins; the other 19 are blank. Each spin is a random draw made by our server, with exactly one chance in 20 of landing on the buffalo. The wheel on screen always stops on the slice the server drew.

5. When it runs

At Bos-Japie market stalls while the wheel is available. Market dates vary; follow the Bos-Japie Facebook Page to see where the stall will be.

The competition closes on a date the promoter announces on the Bos-Japie Facebook Page.

6. How results are made known

On screen, immediately after the spin. A winning screen shows a code, which the stall checks.

7. Collecting the prize

At the Bos-Japie stall, on the same market day, within the hours the stall is open that day. If the shirts for that market have run out, the winner collects at the next market or by arrangement with the promoter, using the contact details above. There is a limited number of T-shirts at each market.

8. Who may not win

Directors, members, partners, employees, agents and consultants of the promoter, anyone who supplies goods or services for this competition, and the spouses, partners, children, parents and siblings of any of them.

People under 18 may not take part.

One person may win only one T-shirt per market day.

9. What a winner gives at the stall, and why

The law requires the promoter to keep a record of every winner for three years. So a winner gives their full name and ID number, and signs and dates a receipt for the prize. The promoter, Bos-Japie, keeps these records for three years to meet that requirement, uses them for nothing else, and then destroys them. Ask the promoter at the contact details above to see or correct your record.

A winner never has to be photographed or take part in any marketing, and may decline.

10. What this page collects

Nothing that identifies you. The page sets one cookie on your phone that records that it has had its spin that day, and the result, so a reload shows the same result. It expires at midnight. To stop automated spinning, Cloudflare, which runs this website, counts spins per internet connection for about a minute; we do not see or keep those counts. The spin is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that tells people from automated scripts; Cloudflare processes the technical data that check needs. No analytics and no tracking.

11. Facebook and Meta

This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Meta or Facebook. By taking part you release Meta and Facebook from any liability connected with it. You are never asked to share, repost or tag anyone.

12. These rules

These rules are available free of charge on request from the promoter.
